Collections Internship

The Interns for the Collections team at Weeksville Heritage Center will work closely with the Collections Manager and Collections Assistant to execute a collection-wide inventory project and support other significant initiatives to improve the care and conservation of its museum collections and increase access to the collections and associated data.

Collections Assistant

Weeksville Heritage Center is seeking a part-time Collections Assistant, with a focus on data management, to support the initiatives of the Collections department. This is an ideal opportunity for a rising museum professional with a specialty in digital platforms who is passionate about increasing access to historical collections. The Collections Data Assistant will expand and enhance the CatalogIt collections management system through data ingestion and a sustained inventory project and will provide overall support to the Collections Department. This role is part of the Collections Department and reports to the Collections Manager.

Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is responsible for enhancing the organization’s profile, brand and identity. The position works to deliver a clear narrative and voice to build awareness about Weeksville Heritage Center’s work and impact. The position works closely with multiple areas in the organization including the President and CEO, public programs and development/fundraising. The Marketing Manager reports to the President and CEO.

Development Manager

The Development Manager is an important colleague who will support our fundraising work in a number of ways including: administration, campaign design and execution, and special events. The position works strategically with most departments across the organization and fundraising consultants to help us maximize our fundraising activities. The Development Associate also engages externally with community members, board members, and program partners. This position offers the opportunity to build on, create, and implement systems that maintain productivity in our fundraising work.

Grants Coordinator

Weeksville Heritage Center is seeking a Grants Coordinator who is eager to grow within our Development Team.  This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 2 years of nonprofit experience who is interested in learning about grants management and tracking, grant writing and proposal development, foundation relations, and donor stewardship. The Grants Coordinator will draft grant proposals/ LOIs, manage data entry, grant tracking, and coordinate interdepartmental schedules for foundation site visits. This individual will also research corporate and foundation grant opportunities, prepare acknowledgments to funders, manage grant profiles, track deadlines, and other required documentation. This role will report to the Director of Development and their onboarding will be facilitated by the Development Manager.
